Food systems transformation and improved nutrition is another key strategic priority for the EFEFA Women Farmers Network (eWofanet) to enhance food security, strengthen economic resilience, and improve the overall well-being of small holder farmers and their communities This will be done by supporting women small holder farmers to start promoting organic farming and regenerative agriculture, enhance market access for nutritious foods, Post-harvest management and food waste reduction. By integrating food systems transformation and nutrition-focused initiatives into its programs, eWOFANET will empower women farmers not only to increase food production but also to improve community nutrition, generate income, and contribute to a healthier, more sustainable agricultural system. Women farmers play a vital role in advancing sustainable agriculture, healthy diets, and economic empowerment. Reinforcing the entire food value chain from production to consumption remains our critical area of focus with the ultimate goal of contributing to improved nutritional food production and behavioral change in food consumption.
