Agribusiness development is an effective approach for eWOFANET (EFEFA Women Farmers Network) to increase the economic empowerment of women in agriculture. With this approach eWofanet will empower women farmers to increase productivity, generate higher incomes, and create sustainable livelihoods by transitioning from subsistence farming to commercial agriculture through capacity building and training in agribusiness skills development, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship training,value addition techniques (e.g., processing, packaging, branding), Access to finance and investment opportunities, market linkages and value chain development, technology and innovation adoption. All the above will be achieved by supporting and strengthening women-led cooperatives and support them to increase bargaining power and access resource.
